A small, local charity with big ambitions; specialising in truly relevant support and with clear objectives that focus on the needs of our users and their family carers...

Southampton Mencap is a voluntary organisation based in Portswood, Southampton for children, young people and adults with a learning disability and their family carers. We work to raise awareness to their rights, alongside the direct provision of a range of services. We also take great pride in remaining small, local and strong. Alongside this we place a strong focus on working with other local agencies and the Local Authority to jointly improve the services available to our client group.

Southampton Mencap Senior Administrator

Seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and committed person to join our team and fulfil an administration and finance role. This is a permanent full time office based role but there may be some room for negotiation for the right candidate.

Southampton Mencap is a well-established local charity based in Portswood and has an excellent reputation built up over the last fifty years. You will be an integral member of a small committed team who are passionate about delivering high quality services which benefit people of all ages with a learning disability and their families and carers.

If this sounds like the ideal job for you and you want to be part of an organisation that prides itself on remaining small, local and strong, we want to hear from you if you have the qualities and experience we're looking for! Any dealings you may have within the charitable sector or learning disability field, including personal lived experiences will make you a stronger candidate.

This role has a broad remit and so you will be highly motivated with a genuine interest in supporting the organisation to run smoothly and efficiently for the benefit of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities and their families and community of unpaid carers.
