Friday Youth Club has continued to be a great success, benefiting all the staff and members who attend.

For a lot of our members, Friday Youth Club is all that they have for an evening out, with socialisation proving the club to be an absolute must! All members socialise with each other in a relaxed friendly manner, which has kept a constant friendly and happy atmosphere here.

The happy environment is reinforced by positive and enthusiastic staff, who show dedication towards the club and all members who attend..

We have had quite a few new members starting at the club recently, and it does not take long for them to make new friends and really enjoy their time here.

Every two weeks, a themed night takes place, which has in the past included pizza nights, DVD nights, Dance Mat Competitions, drama nights and retro cheesy dance nights!!.

With the addition of the new pool table, this has proven to be a massive hit by most of the members, and has initiated pool tournaments with a prize for the winner.

All the members, staff and volunteers look forward to coming to Mencap for the Friday Youth Club. There is nothing better than working in an environment where everyone is happy and having fun.

Staffing Levels: 1 Supervisor and 2 Club Support Workers, plus Volunteers.
